Focus on the next 5 minutes…

I’ve been sick for the past few days and all I could do was just focus on the here and now. The few minutes in front of me. Not work/projects left undone. Not exercise I’m missing. Nothing but the current moment.

I wake this morning feeling a lot better, realizing once again, that YES!! -life should be lived in the moment. Not hyper-focusing on the future. Always planning, always micro-managing the unknown.

There is a reason why Santa is not skinny!

What is it with this time of year and sugar-laden treats??? It’s a tradition to leave Santa cookies, it’s a tradition to have a cookie-exchange, and it’s tradition to attend several holiday parties and they all have high-calorie treats

ME vs. ME; my biggest fight!

How does one stop themselves from stopping themselves, when they are their own worst enemy? Well, if it’s true you should keep your enemies close, then this is as close as I can get. Me, myself and I!! The battle of the century.

Sundays are for Meal Prepping!

The kitchen: friend or foe?? The kitchen at my house is both. There is an on-going love/hate relationship with me and the kitchen. I love to eat—food is in the kitchen. I hate to cook, (and horrible at it) which means quick and go foods make up the majority of my diet. I want to loose some of the extra fat cells that are accumulating up around my mid-section—which means I need to be mindful of what I eat. My life is about to get very busy, time to plan ahead and do that “meal prep” thing!
